at pro target separation wow :detecting:

Well-known member
took my at pro to the a old 1900 city dump yesterday
the dump is loaded with iron wall to wall & other fun things to detect in
& i gotta tell you the separation on the at pro with the stock dd coil is incredible
i was able to run it in pro zero & tell what was under the coil with some degree of knowing the targets content
chatter, clack, pop . good bang on good targets if you are listening between the noise
i was able to fish out this 1920 wheat penny & a few other targets
the at pro has the best separation of any detector ive used in 35 years
i love mine
thanks for looking good hunting all

You have to be dedicated to hunt there. Can't believe you found that Wheatie in all that trash. Great job.

They do have great separation with the DD coil on them! Looks like it did well in the trash!

the girlfriend loves to scratch around in there she gets bottles & marbles :super:

yup she is

Today I took mine to a 1950's park with loads of trash in the baseball backstop area. In 10 minutes of the PRO Mode iron audio ON and listening for the high tones. I got a very green 1946 wheat penny...and there was plenty of low tone grunts and chatter due to the trash in the ground.
The AT Pro does excellent in these locations in picking the coins. I watched the videos over and over and am learning.

"That reminds me of the good signal under the dog poo question... Would you or wouldn't you?"

I'm a Plumber by trade .......We have a saying in the industry ......

"Your s_ _ _ is my bread and butter " ........

Move it out of the way , and DIG IT BABY !!!......or just step in it for luck !!....... ......JIm

I've dig targets out of fire ant beds so yes I would.

Target separation is even better with the 5x8 , and target identification is better too. But you are right , even with the stock coil it does a good job.

I am new to the forum, but have been reading for several years. I've hunted with the atp for 3 yrs. Using the 5x8 coil, and i still stand back and shake my head in disbelief when I pull a coin out from under several pieces of iron. This is the main reason I bought the atp. Since using the smaller coil my coin and jewelry finds have really increased.Recently bought a NEL sharpshooter, 5.5x9.5", great little coil. At pro is a nice machine! Good luck and HH.

I already end up stepping on it.... There's so much dog poop here in Italy, it would be a rarity if you don't step on any...
Maybe they should change the name to Shitaly...
