It got hot today, so I headed to a beach. Great day, even though it rained for about 3 hours during the hunt. You can't get any wetter from the rain when you are water hunting. Here's the good, the bad and the ugly. The AT Pro has a knack for pulling out coins and rings amongst all the junk. I just love that iron audio set up.

Here's a real beauty I dug up. It appears to be an old jar lid from a jar of Kraft Cheese Whiz. I love the inscription......."SAVE JAR FOR HOME CANNING." Looks like Kraft dinner has been around for a long....long time. Heck, it filled me up when going to college and university when money was tight. :)

Here's the best of the best from today! A good day it was! :) Nice to see the Garrett Gals out again.

Good items found in that hunt. Congrats !

I don't feel so bad about the bottle tops and pull tabs I find after seeing how many you found, John. Nice finds on the coins and rings. I thought it was still a little chilly in your neck of the woods for the Garrett Gals. HH.
It's been over 6 weeks since I was able to go dirt fishing and that's frustrating, but these posts sure do cheer me up. In regards to the Kraft jar, they were a thriftier generation back in those days. Now, everything is disposable.

Hey John, I am new to Metal Detecting and have purchased the AT Pro. I did have a Fisher Aquanat before and did a bit of detecting but it was fairly old and I needed to upgrade. I am having some trouble with the AT Pro. I get many 'good' signals but am unable to rescan and get a hit, especially in the water. I have found a few items; mainly coins, but a couple cheap silver bracelets and junk rings. I am definately cleaning up the environmnent with all the trash I have found. Where are you doing most of your detecting? In parks, lakes, etc? It looks like you are very good and I would appreciate any advice you can share with me. Thanks.
