AT PRO Standard headphones in the pouring rain?

JASONSPAZ1

I am sorry up front guys if this has been asked before. I know that you need the Waterproof headphones to be submerged. But can you detect in the pouring rain with the Standard headphones that come packed in with the AT PRO.

Thanks so much in advance
Jason

:usaflag:If I were to get caught in a downpour, I guess I would be inclined to put them away and make a run for the truck. Why take a chance? They ain't cheap !!

What would you do with whatever headphones you are using now? Other than the plug end the standard headphones are just like any other set of headphones. I have hunted in a steady rain with my Sunray Pros and it didn't hurt them a bit and they are not waterproof, likewise with the standard set of headphones.

I guess I am just being paranoid as usual, and looking for the answer to minor particulars. You are right what would I do with my current headphones. I have hunted in the rain with a cz6 and I remember it being one of the first advertised "weatherproof" detectors. I had no problems with it in the rain. So I guess the AT would be no different.
I think if I pause before I post, I would realize the answer is so obvious. lol

Take care
Jason

I think the main thing to remember with the stock headphones is to not submerge them when you are water detecting, I have gotten almost every set of phones
wet in the rain at some point, and they don't seem to be bothered.
But if you are really worried, wear a hoodie and keep the phones inside the hood as much as you can (or buy the waterproof headphones)
