AT PRO should we test them for leaks or send them back before they might leak?

I think one of the objectives of the upgrade is to check everything over at the same time and then issue the new warranty. I have no inside information at all, just the way I see it.

Here is what I did with the new one I bought when I received it last week. It is the updated model with the locks and longer shaft though. I also got a gopro HD waterproof camera for my birthday from my wife so I figured I would take a shot at making my first video while getting to test both of them out.:lmfao:

Where's the gold?? Chlorine musta ate it up!!! Now, get back in the pool for 50 hrs. and see if it leaks any!! I'm glad your's made it thru the first run, now go somehwere where there's GOLD!!! And post a video of that!!

Mine was fixed for falsing once.
Have been in the water 4 times up to neck deep for up to 3 hours.
It has found me the gold ,just get out there in the water and use it.
That'll be one way to find out if its water proof.

 actually, I had one of the early models and did find a 14kt yellow/white two tone mans wedding band with 3 small diamonds. I sold that atpro a few months ago when I wanted to get another detector and didnt have enough money to buy it without selling the pro. I decided I wanted to hit some swimming holes in my area this summer and got some extra cash so I bought this new one along with some Gray Ghost waterproof headphones which I put the atpro connector on. That was what my real worry was in the video. I wasnt worried about the pro, it was the connector. I cut the connector off the stock headphones and took it apart so I could solder the GG wires instead of splicing like some of the GG phones I have saw pics of. The connector is hard to disassemble as the inside is filled with what looked to be a silicone based glue or sealant. When I put them back together I injected a 2 part epoxy based sealant that I use at my automotive repair business. I was sure it was completely water tight but you never really know until you try it. I hope to get out soon with it and take video while doing so. Here is a pic of the ring when I found it and one after it was cleaned up.

I am sorry for taking this off topic!

Your right i will use it and see if it leaks, what do i have to lose. Got three other water detectors so i won't be without one for the water season.

Don't be sorry for showing GOLD!! I love it, always a treat!! Hope the home build on the GG's work for you. I had a set built and they are GREAT!!

I'll be taking my to an old swimming hole at the lake in a couple of weekends for a workout....hopefully it doesn't leak, and hopefully it brings home the goods :beers:

I would just carry on hunting, and send it at the end of the hunting season, or if it takes on water. Not all AT Pro's leak. You can also call Garrett if you are unsure.....
