AT Pro settings for hunting IN salt water and wet sand.

Can anyone help me with settings for my AT Pro that I will be using in salt water and wet salt sand? I'm a senior citizen and need easy to read instructions. Thank you all for the help.

On the beaches I've used it on I ground balance on the dry sand and hunt whatever that hits. Usually 15 to 20 for me. Be aware that in the wet salt sand and in the salt water your depth will be diminished and it will give poor results on gold. I have found a larger piece that was very shallow but it's strengths are not in salt water hunting.

On the wet sand I ground balance again and then drop a few points to quiet the chatter. I usually end up at 10 to 15.

In the water I ground balance again and drop a few more to quiet it down. I usually end up at 5 to 10.

I have found silver in the salt water and coins are no problem. Not super deep but it will work.

At the beach it's best to play to the machines strengths. Run the towel line and look for the coin patches that usually will be about 1/3 the distance down from the high tide line to the low tide line. At low tide this sand will be pretty dry in my areas and the AT-Pro will do well there. Remember to hit any volleyball nets and in front of bars is often a good spot.

Good luck!
