AT Pro serial number?

Was reading on another forum where somebody stated that Garrett has been asking what the first 3 digits of the serial number on the At is that is being returned. Apparently the numbers starting with 505 and prior are the units with the issues. Mine is 510 and has no issues at all. So.....makes sense. Wondering if that holds true for anyone else here that has a 505 and before, or a post 505 unit?

Mine was a 504 and it had to go back to :garrett: and is now on its way home... Your theory makes sense.

Mine was also a 505 and I have had it fixed and now it is rock solid. I am happy with the service.

Two people have 504, and two people have 505, how can both have the same serial number?

n/t

my first one was a 504 and had the problem. my replacement is a 510 and is fine.

My AT PRO has a 510xxxxx number and went back and they replaced the coil. They asked what my issue was with the machine and I listed three things. They then stated it needed to be returned. This correspondence was all accomplished by e-mail only.

Mine will false when I hold it up and shake it but works fine any other time. It's OK if it dosn't get any worse. Still it worries me a bit.

I'm picking up a 510 tomorrow. I called Garrett today to ask about the falsing issues and was assured that my serial number would be ok.

It don't make any sense at all Sureshot, Greyghost returned his 510 unit, don't believe everything you read on the OTHER forums.

I have the 505 unit and it works just great.

Leslie....I was not making the claim. Just curious to see what others experience was that's all. I don't beleive everything I read on ANY forum. Glad yours works great, so does mine. Just wish the ground would thaw out here some more....otherwise gonna have to do a road trip south soon.......

Amen to that !

I have a 504 series and it seems to be stable but then I have not actually done a serious hunt with it yet. Now if this snow would just melt I could run it through it's paces.
