At pro screen

Well been reading all these screen issues and have not seen any on mine until today hunted all day took a break and picked it up to go hunt there was this mark I thought was a scratch but it is on the inside of the screen right across the number ID really irritating to look at looks like its time to send it in and see if they can remove it too hot to hunt now anyway so guess this is a good time

Bummer! At least it's good timing. I need to get my atp in the mail for the same kind of issue.

It just showed up, on the inside? Could it be from the polarization of the plastic? They can't fix that. That's there to help see the numbers, etc. in sunlight/glare.

nope I can see the numbers and everything OK except it shows a line across them its just like a wrinkle in a plastic cover or something because you can push on it slightly and it will deminish for a second then come back not stopping the detector from working but irritating because it goes right across the numbers

Heres a pic not very good and it looks like the screen has a crack but trust me its on the inside of the screen

If you have registered it Garrett will fix it. It will take about ten days for them to repair and send it back to you.

Its Registered I am calling them tomorrow to see If I have to mail it or If I can drop it off I only live 40 mins from the Garland Location Also Sue is a member of The club I am in as well

I would imagine you could drop it off. Probably could even go pick it up if you preferred. And from the pic, that is not normal for the AT Pro.

At least yours looks orderly - you don't suppose these reflect our states of mind, do you?:drinking:

Had the same issue as you, a line going across the display area. I could literally rub my finger nail on the line and make it spread out and drag it down, gave the resemblance of "oil". I sent my head unit to Garrett and they did "preventative maintenance" to the unit and it came back clean as a whistle. All done under factory warranty.

Yes, Garrett is the finest company I've had the pleasure to do business with. No hair splitting - they've gone out of their way to take care of me. That includes a couple of times when the issues were due to user clumsiness, heh, and I told them so. Fully expected and willing to pay and they surprised me with their kindness. That means a LOT to me, so rare these days. I'm glad to see that they've got some real hits on their hands with the AT series and hoping it enables them to develop some new breakthrough machines.

LOL I hope not My probems dont seem so bad after watching the news and seeing the devistation in OKlahoma My prayers are sent out to those people

Looks to me it has developed a malfunction in the lcd (liquid crystal diode display), am shure garrett will make it well.

Just got off the Phone with Garrett and Miss Sue told me not to send it in That she would send me out a repair Kit to fix it that they were aware of this problem seems to happen in the Heat which was the case for me I am sure it was near 96 degrees Sat where I was hunting . anyway she said I can do it myself with the kit and the instructions and if I was not satisified with the results afterwards to send it in and they would take care of it What a nice Gal and great customer service Think I am going to buy another AT Pro so I will have a Backup

Verrrrrrryyyyy Intersting - I'll give 'em a call tomorrow.
