yep you were right about the sun glasses, I tried it last evening with my clip on sun glasses seems the glasses really enhance the rainbow effect. After I took them off I could still see it,( although not as noticeable as with the glasses). Does anyone else notice it on their machine with out sun glasses? Is this repairable?

Just the nature of the beast. I don't think there is anything to repair. Mine does the same thing when in direct sunlight but then so does every other LCD display on other things I have like radio's. After setting in the shade for a spell it is fine.
