AT PRO SCREEN CRAZING

New member
On two different times out hunting this year the plastic screen on the read out has turned rainbow colors making it difficult to impossible to read the VDI and digital read outs.
I tried changing the angle to the sun but it had no affect on the crazing. I have not had the machine in the water or under water nor in the rain. It comes and goes , first time in early spring cooler days. It went away. Now it happened again last month during an all day hunt in the sun hotter temps. Again it went away over night. I have not coated the screen or cleaned it with any thing other than a water damp cloth. Has any one else experienced this? any fix for this??
It's a great machine, my back up is an Ace 250.

Are you wearing UV sunglasses ?
That will cause that rainbow effect on the face !

I have a Mobile phone screen protector that fits perfectly over the plastic screen, none sticky and no residue.

Pop into your mobile phone shop ,they should have the size that you require, not only do they help with the

rainbow effect but they also protect your AT Pros screen, and reasonably priced.

H H and stay safe :ukflag:

It is called THIN FILM INTERFERENCE

same reason for colored oil patches on roads and colored soap bubbles

somewhere there must be a minute gap between two surfaces on the display panel

Interestingly if you had a perfect screen and put a screen protector over it, but had a grain of sand between the two surfaces you could replicate the plroblem

Purple Haze, awewaaaaswdaaadaweaea, put a spell on me
