AT Pro relic hunting question

Jerry Ga.

Member
From what I have seen and read on the forums it seems the AT Pro has great depth on button and bullet sized relics, at least to the 10 to 12 inch level.

My question is, will it hit on a larger relic, ( buckle or breastplate ) at a greater depth, lets say in the 15 to 20 inch range ?

I would say that is a reasonable estimate.:wiggle:

we say that a jar of cocacola nikel I have dug to 17/18 thumbs I have wanted to see what it was otherwise when I overcome the 15 thumbs I stay
the signal before excavation is taller than later dug, the damp of the ground helps Md to receive better
I am happy to have bought atpro, for now any problem
regards and good luck

I have found a button at about 10'', got a good signal but not a steady TID number. I wish I could tell you how deep I had dug a buckle but I haven't found one with the AT PRO yet. I think it would get a buckle or box plate at 15''............Bill in NC

Today I dug what was supposed to be a CS belt plate @ an easy 15 plus inches. Strong "deep" signal, id'd @ 75 - 78. But alas, it was another mason jar lid...

I think I found a chinaman in a hole i dug today.lol just kidding but i have dug several targets over a foot that were small.

I was hunting with my AT Pro in part of Cold Harbor battlefield in private property and in front of a Confederate entrenchment I got a 99 signal and 10+ inch depth indication. I dug down 2 feet and found the hub of a cannon carrage or wagon. It was still attached to the axel so we didn't dig the rest of it. Here are some photo's of us trying to extract it.
