Hi.....I'm new here so this question may already have been asked.....When I put new batteries in my AT Pro is it a good idea to reset to factory settings .....then go ahead and set your settings and go hunt???

Dear : have no factory settings only you can choose the standard option and pro option , and with standard and pro have three choice , custom and coins then zero , and this is enough, regards
It is not necessary, unless the detector ends up in default or has some issues with the new batteries.
If you turn on the detector holding the on button for several seconds, it will go into a default factory mode. It does the same thing as clicking on the reload page icon on your computer.
