Out today with my AT PRO and unit started acting funny. Numbers started flashing and they wouldn't stop. I tried everything. popped out the batteries and put them back in. Unscrewed the coil connector and screwed it back on, Unplugged headphones and pligged 'em back in, nothing made any difference. What the ehck is happening. I need some help on this, please.I have heard of this before but now it's happening to me. I have no coil cover so there's no sand in there. Please let me know. I was on dry land and the detector has never been in the water. Help!!

My AT Gold acted weird like that the day I got it. Numbers jumping. Battery level reading 4 bars, then 1 bar. I Put in 4 new batteries and that cured it. I would try new batteries before anything else.
Good Luck--Ron

hi all.. yeah i had the same issue with the batteries that came with the unit they were pretty dead. after about an hour i replaced the batteries and it solved a lot of weird problems i was having. TC and good luck to all of you.

When you unscrewed the coil did you turn the machine on? I had a similar issue but when I removed the coil and turned it on it quit. Mine was a bad coil wire. If tried that, did a Reset, tried fresh batteries, and moved to a new location (incase of EMI)...then its time to call Garrett and have it checked out.

On occasion it happens to me and I'm like WTF. I change the batteries and do the factory reset and it has worked every time. This is my second season with the AT Pro. The only thing the cuff bracket brakes I'm on my third one. If you can't resolve the problem send it to Garrett. Exceptional customer service.

Dutch,

I have broken 3 arm cuffs. Wasn't sure if it was just me. I detect in some pretty brushy areas and that is where I break them. Garret is good about sending new ones. How ever I have never had my AT Pro go "haywire". Probably just jinxed my self....!

To my ever happened, I am studying the problem because I do not is if it is because the ground with lot of garbage or a poor connection of the coil inside the body of the machine. The case is only sometimes I have this problem, many campaigns and many numbers dancing even when I sign up to the free sky, the last time by changing channel was solved. This weekend to try again and if the problem returns when I can send the machine to the service.
a greeting

Called Garrett and Brad told me that when that happens, it needs a new coil so he is sending me a new on. What great support they have. Brad is a problem solver.
Thanks for the onfo.
