Went to pick up my son from school, and stopped at an interesting spot on the way there. I am glad I did.......

I got a loud but good signal with a VDI of about 70. After digging a plug I was surprised to find this commemorative token

Here's the silver coins and a TIMEX watch which actually stopped ticking.

Those tokens are a great find also the commemorative of the 1939 Royal visit when
every school child got one and a certificate of the visit. I was in grade 2 then and still
have mine and have found a few of the tokens with the detector. Guess you are
surprised to get a post from me after all these years. Although I haven;t detected for a
while as I turned 80 in Apr. Not making anymore coinrings as it was too hard on the
wrist so had to give it up. Thought I would post this to let uou know I was still a live,
I was shocked to hear about Bill, learned a lot from him, we will all miss him. I shall
keep reading the posts and maybe add my 2 cents worth. Ken
