AT Pro performance vs. battery charge

I have quite a few hours on a couple of A T's, and never noticed a decrease in performance after but a few hours on the batteries. I do change out batteries once the level gets down to one bar, but have not experienced a performance loss to that point. HH jim tn

Most quality electronics these days have voltage regulators, The AT Pro probably only uses 1.xxV while the total voltage of the battery pack is much much higher say 1.5V x 4 = 6V now the AT Pro isn't using 6V so the voltage regulator will bump that V down to wait the AT needs.

Ok it is something I am imagining then, I just don't have the experience with the machine yet and needed to ask the experts.

After down to one bar a few hours later I noticed the sound level was lower so put in new batteries.

I change batteries at 1 bar also, I haven't noticed any decline in performance from fresh to 1 bar.
I carry 1 set of extra batteries for the Pro and an extra battery for my pin pointer.
