AT PRO OR SCORPION????

New member
hello , i have one question for all expert in gold findings, WHICH METAL DETECTOR IS BETTER IN FINDING GOLD THE AT PRO OR SCORPION? AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF A 3 X 7 COIL AND A 5X10 COIL SCORPION, CAN THE SCORPION FIND GOLD COINS A JEWELRY !!! HELP ME PLEASE I JUST DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO BYE THE AT PTO OR SCORPION!!!!!!!!

If you're new to metal detecting, I suggest you get the AT Pro because it is much easier to operate and understand than the Scorpion. The Scorpion is a very specialized machine that takes ALOT of use to become efficient with.
Of course the Scorpion can find gold coins and jewelry. Any metal detector can. It's just a matter of putting the search coil over the gold in the first place.
The difference between the 5"x10" and 3"x7" search coils for the Scorp! Well, I use the 5"x10" 90% of the time for general searching because it covers more ground faster. However, there are several circumstances while nugget shootin' where the 3"x7" is nice to have. For instance, if the terrain is particularly rocky, I'll use the 3"x7" so that I can maneuver the search coil around the rocks and be closer to the ground(and hopefully the gold!). Also, the smaller search coil is more sensetive to smaller nuggets, but it lacks the depth of the larger search coil. That small search coil is also a killer in the tot lots(play grounds).
You'd be surprised how much gold jewelry is lost in the tot lots.
Best of luck to ya! Feel free to ask for advice at anytime!:wiggle:Happy Hunting!:)

Way better machine for general hunting. For the $ its a really hard machine to beat. If you have any questions or need pricing feel free to call or email me. Love to help you if I can, Bart

thanks a lot metal head, i just don't know, but me heart tells me i should bye a scorpion, there's is something about it, i don't care if i have to take 100 hours to understand it , I'm looking the reviews for the at pro and I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews, and the bad reviews of the scorpion are just people that it looks to me they just don't have the time or patience to understand that the scorpion is a serious machine
