AT Pro or AT Gold

I have read a lot of good stories about both machines, I have been a beep and dig guy for a long time and I want to try one of the AT's. Coin hunting in parks and school's and fresh water beaches will be were I will do my hunting. What do you AT users recommend. Thanks:thumbup:

I have not even put batteries in My AT Gold yet, But I'll be hunting Gold Nuggets and fresh water lakes this summer. seems like a great detector. Grubstake

Well, the AT Gold will give a little more depth in true all metal mode. The AT Pro doesn't have a true all metal mode, but has more capabilities for programming it and better discrimination. It's a tough choice!

Either one will do well but if you go with the Pro go ahead and get yourself a 5x8" coil for it!

I'll second that!! With the type of hunting the OP says he'll be doing, that would be the logical first choice...and then start saving for the AT Gold!!

love the pro but just bought the gold, haven't had a chance to use it due to snow. I plan on using the 5x8 coil which came with the gold, and put it on the pro to see how it performs
