AT Pro new S shaft

Hi,

I spoke to Garrett this morning about getting the new updated S shaft with camlocks and longer arm rest an $80 value, all you have to do is send in your control box and, coil not the old rod keep that as a spare with note with name address and payment of $39.95, why you have to send in your unit he didn't have an answer, but said it was necessary, also if your still in warranty you will get a new warranty starting the date you have the rod replaced.

My wife just had knee replacement surgery on Monday and will not be about to go metal detecting for a while so this comes at a very convenient time for me to send in the detector. Just got off the phone with Garrett and everything is a you said. Will be boxing mine up today.

Thank you for posting this information.

Jerry

So you can keep your old rods correct? All you have to send in is the control box and coil? That is worth it to me.

No commet about the gun style bags... Chicken s...?

I am SORRY. I replied to the wrong post. Please disregard the post above. Really stupid....

No, you do not have to send in your old shaft. Garrett already had mine, so it was a fairly easy decision to make. I believe they MAY also replace the seals, and on my uni I believe they replaced the face plate and coil. I wont know for sure til my unit gets back. They got it in this past wed, and called me fri for my cc# (for the upgrade) and was going to ship it out. Thats a good turn-around time if ya ask me....and a good deal for the shaft+warranty renewal :)

As they are honoring their upgrade offer until December 2011, barring an immediate repair need, it seems like it would be best to send it in in December to maximize the warranty :detecting:
