AT Pro- near and below freezing temperatures!

hello Diggers!
There is an issue with my AT Pro.
So, near freezing temperatures and below, my AT Pro does not work properly-gives all kinds of signals. May be some of you have or had the same problem? If its so- could you tell me whats wrong and how can i fix that?

Thanking all ready before.

I haven't had that problem, as I have hunted in extremely cold conditions. Make sure all of your connectors (coil /headset) are screwed on tight, as the cold might contract them slightly. Also, batteries do funny things when they get cold. I suggest you try "ENERGIZER" lithium batteries, which handle cold temps (-40 to 140). You can also wrap hot pacs on the AT Pro to keep the whole unit warm.

i all ready did that with the main unit. wrapped up and stuff. About batteries, i have lithium reusables, so i dont think that the batteries could be at fault.
whats with the coil? mine doesn't have coil cover, may be its from that?

The coil cover needs to be ordered separately. That shouldn't cause your problem. Do you have access to another coil to try on the AT Pro? Perhaps the coils is faulty.?

unfortunately i dont have other coil.
with previous detector i didn't have any such problems (ACE 250), by the way- ACE`s coil suites in AT Pro`s connection?

hmm.. the only problem here is that im from Latvia. So id rather prefer to chat not to talk in person. :D if only there is some e-mail or something?
but thanks for advices. ;)

Their email is:

sales@garrett.com

even though it's sales my questions have always been forwarded to and answered by a technician. They should be able to help you.

If you are an international purchaser, you really should be dealing directly from your dealer who you purchased it from. He should be looking after you, not the factory on the other side of the world.. You will get much faster service this way. If you want a refund, go directly to the person you purchased it from.

Good luck!

John
