AT PRO just back from Garrett for repair hits 8 Reale

Went down to my favorite Treasure Coin Beach in NJ with my Garrett AT Pro which I just got back from Garrett for repair. I arrived and saw that the beach was deeply cut down about 6 foot. I only went about 20 steps and the AT Pro sounded loudly and showed 93 on the Target ID. I dug down with my sand scoop and pulled out a 1777 8 Reale Spanish Coin.

Garrett gives away great gifts with the potential to win a Pro Pointer by entering some nice photos and stories of the finds.

It is going to hard to top that :) Congratulations on a fantastic find!

I know that beach well and am glad that those reales are still being found. Congrats

Video shot with Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12.1 Mega Pixel HD Video mounted to small Eddie Bauer tripod with attached velcro strap. Second velcro wire wrap attached to lower end of tripod for added stability.

Do you think if you would send it back again it would find another Reale? LOL.
Your camera set up is nice. No more sea-sick viewers!
Too bad the camera can't see the read-out that goes with the coil action.
Thanks,
John Morton

Fantastic find! Talk about deja vu, four weeks ago I got my AT Pro back from Garrett and the weekend after I got it back I found a beautiful 8 Reale in a corn field here in Northern Virginia. I know how you felt. I hope you find more!!! :detecting: Mine is from 1790 and is a Charles IV.

PS, John in Edmonton, I submitted my story and pics to Garrett like you suggested.
