Just ordered The At Pro and anxious to get out and put it to work.Any of you AT Pros have any tips and advice you can give me on this awesome machine?

One of my older sons had been getting the itch to try metal detecting with me and I came here to Findmall to see what was new in detectors. I took the time looking around for what was new and when I got to this AT PRO forum I decided that the PRO would be a good fit for him. I started reading every thing I could find here and went to far as to read back 100 pages of posts on here and was so impressed with this detector I decided I also wanted one for myself. I have 8 upper end detectors already (so what's the matter with having one more. )

I suggest you do the same. There are many many very good tips on how to get the best performance with the PRO. It still winter here in Wisconsin but I did get one day when I could hunt along a tree line on our 20 acre lot. I found a few targets and was impressed. I also did some checking on my coin garden and using some of the tips I'd read on this forum I was realy impressed. By the way I was using the 5X8 DD coil. The PRO with the 5X8 DD would give a good signal on a 9" dime with a rusty nail one inch from the dime ( my ground balances in the low 80's). I won't go into settings etc right now but there are lots of them available right here on this forum.

As you read this forum you will notice that there are a several regular users here who have used the PRO for as much as a year and I credit them for many of the very good tips on getting great performance on the PRO.

Good Hunting,

I use mine most for Relic hunting and setting are as followed. Pro mode; zero disc;iron audio on and set at 35; sens at max(if stable). learn the VDI numbers a must. In my area I dig basically all Target VDI's great than 40. JMO
