A reality check for the new people starting in this wonderful hobby. There are lots of good targets to be had, however, you have to dig a lot of junk to get the good stuff.

Past couple of weekend hunts....about 9 hours worth of hunting. A darn good way to loose a few pounds.

Hey, that"s my ring ! I lost it before my sex reassignment surgery............or maybe I lost my dog tag, dunno.....have to take my happy pills.

Excellent find on the ring and the coins add up, too. You sure can't find the good stuff if you don't dig a little trash on the way. Glad you got out and did some digging.

Love the pictures of the trash up top. If you want a ring you will dig trash. Great hunt.

As a newbie I PERSONALLY WOULD BE THRILLED to find that many "junk" items on one hunt/dig especially if it were my first!!! KEEP DIGGIN MIKE E

Great find on your, your 10K ring
How deep was it and what was your Digital read out?
thanks

I picked up an AT Pro this spring, and with the pro and iron modes, it really hits the coins and once you learn the tones, skips the junk!
