at pro headphones

The external speaker is pretty Low-Fi. The 'phones can help you decide whether to dig iffy targets.
If you're digging in a public area such as a park, they also avoid irritating nearby people (and dogs!).

Best test: try them for a week and see if you like 'em. Personally, I use the adapter with high quality behind-the-neck headphones or ear buds. That way I can wear a brimmed hat, important in NM!

Where do you hunt so I can come along behind you and clean up those deep pesky silvers. You evidently don't want them and are happy picking up that surface clad. Not to mention that all that beeping is really annoying to Mr. Citizen that would love to get detecting banned in HIS park.

At times i will hunt without the headphones. Yes, I probably miss some tones, but if the area is a remote, not a lot will be missed. Hunting in the high humidity can be uncomfortable, so many times i just put the headphones back in the car.

I use after market Killer BEE head phones wit the at PRO ,even a faint deep target blows my ears off!!!!
