at pro headphones

I know garrett supplies headphones with the at pro. My question is how is the sound quality? I know , until the adapter comes out so you can use your favorites phones you have to use them. I have heard about the sounds getting kinda fatiguing but I have watched alot of the videos and I don't hear alot of chatter. Just trying to decide if i buy one will it be an upgrade from my xterra 70 .

Mitwes56, I am having no issues at all with the headphones that came with my AT Pro. I prefer Killer Bee headphones and I will probably get the adapter so I can use them with the AT Pro, but the Garrett headphones are quiet, comfortable and the sounds/tones/whatever you want to call them are easy on the ears and accurately reflect what the detector is picking up. I think you will find them working fine for you. Good luck!

I have a small dome and find the headphones don't want to stay where I adjust them and pops up on my head so I'm patiently waiting for the headphone adapter.

for the beach..........wave noise and wind noise are bad with the stock land phones..........especially when the wind is really blowing..........:(

You guys would smack me if you saw the headphones I have been using with my GTAx550. I'm still pretty new at this, I think the AT Pro phones will be a great leap forward for me.

They work fine. They have a volume control for each ear. But, some people opt to use a favorite brand which they prefer. Whatever works:shrug:

The sound quality is great...The fit is terrible, these are very uncomfortable headphones and forget about adjusting them to your head, they will slide down to wherever they want to go...

For being included with the detector they are OK. For me the issue is the cord is a little short. Well they did put the connection on the wrong side for a right handed swinger. As Max said they are not that good for beach use because you need to isolate yourself better. But over all I think they will get you started out very well. Let's face it. We were not going to get 100.00 headphones included in the price. And Garrett did well to give us what we got in my opinion.
