Not new to dectecting wife bought me a atpro from bart for christmas i modified it so it would take
a regular headphone jack. you can plug it in under your arm at the rear of the mechine a couple of weeks ago
she also bought me a pair of origanal grey ghost headphones i love how they fit but i do not like the sound that
they make im looking for a set of headphones with the same or as close to the same sound as the headphones
that came with the atpro. that has a standard headphone jack i do not like the factory headphones plugged into the
front of the machine thanks for the help!!

I'm not sure if you can still buy them, but there's a headphone called "Duraphones" that I bought over 10 years ago. They're very similar to the Garrett stock phones. The great thing about the Duraphones is that if you get a short in the cable, just disconnect it (it's a coiled phone cable with typical clear plastic phone connectors at each end) and replace it with a new coiled phone cable. The 1/4" plug and connector plug in the left ear cup accepts a standard telephone clip, so it doesn't get much easier than that. I'd look on eBay, or you might call the store where I bought mine many years ago called Centreville Electronics in Manassas, VA...phone (703) 367-7999. I use mine with my AT Pro and love them.

The stock Garret phones look a lot like Audio 2000 phones sold by many Detecting Dealers...

HH,

I fully agree with you on the Grey Ghost headphones. I have very sensitive ears and I could just not tolerate the "TONE?" from them. Hard to explain. I guess I would say they are TO SHARP of a tone?? I sold them after one day and purchased a pair of KILLER B"S. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM.

Hammer, Do you use the Killer B's with the AT pro? I also have a set, they are great! I would like to use them with my AT but had to send the wire connector back. You move the wire and it keeps cutting in and out.
Joe.

Since you already have the adapter hooed up and you like the Garrett 'phones, just get you a set of Garrett Master Sound headphones. Same exact 'phones as the ones that came with you AT Pro, but with a standard jack. Cost about $30...and then sell me those GG's....for a real reasonable price of course!!!
