thanks, I have the pocket watch at a professional clock smith.
Trying to open and restore, the problem is trying to open. When the inner workings start to corrode from water inside, the watch is very difficult to open.
 
I bet it's even more difficult to repair. LOL


Have to tell a story.... about an unusual watch find from 2006

I found this little "ring watch" underwater, about 2 feet off shore, buried in the mud and sand of a local pond.with my ACE 250

The amazing thing was that when I got it home and cleaned it up is was still running. I had never even seen a watch like this before.

It seems to have "taken a licking but kept on ticking" just like the Timex commercial says.
 
Thats so funny, when I was a teenager Metal Detecting I went underneath a dock at a local lake found a Timex watch with a broken face with water inside still running ,
again just like the commercials. LOL we have two similar stories
 
If that thing is ticking, you better run!
