AT Pro good for fast swing speed?

Really not sure of a fast swing, but I do a moderate swing speed and it works for me until I get into an iron infested area then I really slow the swing to a crawl picking in between the iron.

I tend to go to fast, can the Pro keep up with a fast swing speed?

How's that worked out for you so far, having the tendency to go fast?

You don't know what you don't miss lol

Seems to go really well, though I believe I should go slower. Ill never go slow however, I'll always have a fast swing til physically I can't, so I need a md that can keep up. Tesoros are great for it, haven't heard anything about Garretts.

I'm a moderate swing speed guy, like Joe in Md, I slow it down when in the heavy iron out in the fields. My main detector is an Explorer Se Pro so slowing way down in the trashy spots is the norm. I does pay off, especially with the 5x8 coil. Good luck, HH, Joe (in Delaware).

The ATP is a little heavy and not well balanced. It tires me quicker than my ACE 350. So it may be the machine for you.

The target response is pretty quick on the ATP but I never swing fast because it may be the difference between finding that miracle target or not. Even if I'm a little pressed for time I still make sure my coil is low to the ground and swing at a steady pace never too fast, but everyone is different I guess so yea whatever works for you. :wiggle: Can you swing the ATP fast? Sure, why not, will it be as effective as swinging it slower probably not. Just my opinion.
Cheers!

I need to slow down, but I tend to go fast. I heard minelabs have a slow recovery speed Tesoros have a high recovery speed and was trying to find out where Garrett was in this spectrum as I would like to add an at pro to the arsenal this tax time.

The AT pro has a fast recovery speed,,,with a fast sweep speed,,,my brain can not keep up....
Like trying to count the bullets being fired from a AR 15 on full auto,,,:yikes:
I have found a sweep speed that my brain can keep up with works best for me....
Just my 2 zincs...

Yeah! I'm a quick broomer too! I got the Pro for primarily water work, but it is fast on the beach as well..it is also very easy to swing in the water, so I like it just fine! Of course, quick brooming effectively has a lot to do with target recovery speed, not the electric kind of the recovery built into the circuit board, you know, how fast can a guy get a target out of the sand or dirt once located? That means pinpointing dead on for the cladstabbers, which the AtPro has.

It would appear from the comments thus far that the AT Pro does well whether swing speed is moderately fast or slow. I hunt mainly parks and schools (my style being "just for the fun of it") and fresh water wading. I go pretty slow and am impressed with the results I have so far with the AT Pro. Good fortune and Happy hunting to all.

It's plenty fast and the machine rocks. It hits hard on nickels and I do mean hard. In fact every time I go out I find nickels. Not manny can do that. One hell of a machine Garrett did there homework on this one.

You can check the recovery time of the AT pro for yourself. There is a video on recovery time on you tube. I will tell you, recovery time is excellent.
