AT Pro gets me my Oldest dated coin ever found

I had a 6 hour hunt at 2 different locations yesterday. One was a 1890's house tear down and the other a side walk
tear out along a little park. Well at the 1890's house I pulled out a Victorian buckle and my OLDEST coin to date
yet. An 1865 Indian Head. I was thrilled. The detail is excellent and the digging is easy as pie as the soil
is dirt with sand that is really soft. Also found a gold plated cuff link with a stone in it but the back was missing.
Nice little piece. Many other cool targets found. The only problem I am having is the hits are all faint hits until
I move some soil out.(Kinda like fall woods hunting with the leaves everywhere.)
I am hunting in mounds of dug dirt that will be back filled in. Once soil is removed a little the
good hits come through loud and clear.Found some cool relics too!!! Going back again today and hope I can
get that coil over some 1800's silver.
Second hunt was an hour long at a park side walk tear out. I put the AT Pro in Pro Coins mode and dug
some beaver tails and certain tabs and managed to pull out another 30+ coins which were 4 wheaties,
1935 being the oldest , along with the rest being clad. Someone was there before me but I still pulled out 30+
coins. So all I can say is with only about 7 hours on this machine, the AT Pro is here to stay in my ARSENAL!
First Garrett I have owned and I'll tell you what, this machine with the 5x8 coil is fantastic. In summary the AT Pro
is one coin finding machine that has opened my eyes to this unit. Thanks for listening!!!

Congrats on the good hunt.

A semi-load of this dirt was shipped back to our shop yard and dumped as fill.
Hopefully I can pull out some more 'Old Goodies". I had found a gold stoned cuff
link and that was returned to the Property owner. Nice little piece it was!
I got to keep the coin and belt buckle. It was a good day for me and my new
AT Pro. Used the 5x8 coil and it will find the goods in the iron. Glad you guys
persuaded me to go with the AT Pro and not the AT Gold. Thanks to all who replied.

Congrats on the Indian head penny and cuff link! I don't know who persuaded you to get the Pro over the Gold but I've used both and the Gold was just as good on coins and jewelry as a AT-Pro.
