That operating frequency has proven itself with Garrett for many, many years on several different models.It is still used on the Scorpion detector, specifically designed with gold hunting in mind. The AT Pro is about as close to an all around unit as you can get.ie.......water proof, great depth (meeting and beating metal detectors costing 2 x $), notching capabilities, numerical and icon presentation for a targets probability, great audio ID and two totally different modes.... #1 PRO Mode -one with the user to predict depth (deeper targets are more silent) and the other STANDARD Mode - where the weak signals are amplified so you can hear them.
