What # do you get when you ground balance in wet sand ? The Garrett videos say between 20-1 , but here in California that is not the case . I have ground balanced manual and auto till I got a faint high and low tone and it ran very stable . Was just curious what numbers people get , the beach I went to had black sand . Have hunted parks and the dry sand and the at pro is a killer but new to the wet stuff . If there are any of you in California with an at pro please let me know .

Mine balances around 12 to 15 in water and very wet sand, but it changes when I hit black sand or get near the dry.

Garrett made that video on the Texas beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. I'm sure the conditions are much different than in California.

I don't see it in your post -- but what number(s) do you get? What's the range? And what did you get on the dry sand relative to the wet sand?

Thx
Rich

Welcome to the unique conditions of California. Depending on what area you are in the black sand wrecks havoc. I don't believe any other coastal warters other than than the west coast has this so it doesn't surprise me at all ground balancing issues come up. Black sand plus salt water equals problems.

It was tuff for me to ground balance in wet tried auto then tried manual cant remember exactly what the number was. The At pro is pretty chattery on wet sand but hunt able.

Have not owned mine long and was curious about this if it so chattery in wet sand how do you set it for hunting under water as for as the sand on the bottom of a lake or saltwater did a test on mine once set the ground balance at about 81 and backed it down manually 5 more and went from dry sand to wet sand and got no chattery responce seemed to run quite smooth with Sens at three levels below high
