I got a early start this morning and headed back to a location that has been good to me. I wasn't there long before someone noticed that I shouldn't be there and asked me to leave. I hit another old location that has been hunted to death and saw Jim swinging away. I worked it for awhile before deciding to head out to greener pastures. I found another location and talked to the maintenance guy and he said he didn't have a problem with me detecting after I showed him how I exacted targets. I ended up digging a bunch of clad coins and 16 wheat pennies (1944, 1951, 1942, 1955, 1947, 1951, 1944, 1929, 1945, 1949, 1954, 19??, 19??, 194?, 1951, 19??). After digging around dozen wheat pennies, I knew that there had to be silver there as well. Finally, I got my first Mercury Dime and shortly there after I got another one. Both were shallow and so were most of the wheat pennies. I also found a Masonic stamped coin. There's no telling how old it is. I have a feeling that this new location is going to produce some super nice finds. When I get through cherry picking and my knee gets to feeling a little better, I'm grabbing one of my beep and dig detectors and I'm going unearth some old gold jewelry. This location just has to be loaded with a bunch of lost gold jewelry. I can just feel it.
