AT Pro :garrett: Dirty Money :detecting:

I got a early start this morning to beat the heat. I went back to a old site that I have detected before to see if I could find some more good stuff. The settings on the AT Pro with the 5 x 8 inch coil was Pro Zero with the sensitivity set at one bar down from its highest setting and there was still some chatter from EMI. There was so much iron in the ground, it sounded like a Gatling Gun going off. I was just digging the high tones today. Both nickels gave a high tone. Go figure. Some of the wheat pennies were bouncing from the high tone to the mid-tone. At any rate, if I heard any part of a high tone in all that trash and iron, I was digging.:) I only hunted around 3 hours because of the heat and my knee was acting up, but I did managed to find a bunch of wheat pennies (1952, 19??, 1937, 1941, 1937, 1942, 1941, 1919, 1921, 1941, 1932, 1934) , a 1935 Buffalo Nickel, a 1943 War Nickel, a 1938 Half Penny, a 1959 Half Penny, 1962 Canadian Quarter, a 1977 Netherlander Coin, a Sterling Earring, and bunch of clad. I didn't get to take any pictures at the site because I forgot to put my camera back in the car after my fishing trip. There sure were a lot of foreign coins for this neck of woods.

Nice haul Tab!! :biggrin:And very nice close up pic's of the goodness. :please: I'd like to find one of those silver Canadian Caribou quarters.

That's a lot of land digging there. Average depth on those targets?

I love finding those buffalos with the date showing up as well as the one you have there.

Nice finds!

Neil nothing was very deep. Most of the coins were around 3 inches or so deep. I found a couple of wheat pennies just below the surface. I was amazed at finding so many foreign coins. The AT Pro sure works well at trashy sites. Buffalo Nickels are one of my favorite coins to find.

Interesting bunch of finds! I just finished making a bunch o silver coin-rings out of some Canadian & US silver quarters.

Great collection for 3 hours. ;-)
I'd check out the same area more in depth and crossing over in another direction.

Wow, that's an interesting variety of coins, tabman! You sure have the coin photo thing figured out, too.
Cool rings, John!

Wow, that looks like the U.N. of coin digs there man. I would dearly love to find a U.S. Buffalo nickel. But considering my location and that I have only ever found three I.H.'s, the odds are quite low. Which means that the find will be all the more exciting if it ever happens.

I found a 1935 buffalo nickel today, it's only my 3rd and the first at the river. Other two were at my home, 1 in the yard and 1 in the lime sink.
