AT PRO FOUND ITS 1000th QUARTER & DIME 2day

quarterhorse

New member
The AT PRO sniffed out $11.57 today, making it 1012 quarters and 1025 dimes since mid January 2011.

442 nickels, 3 dollar coins, one Kennedy Half, and 19 pounds of pennies :drinking:

:garrett:

Now your on fire. I just hit 475 Q's yesterday for the year. Did you happen to see the story in W&T Treasure Mag. a few months ago? This ole hunter nailed 4000 plus Q's in one month. That would be a smashing yr. for me.

WOW! you must be blessed with a great area to hunt. Here in Texas we feel great if we find 12 coins in a 5 hour hunt.

Snoop and Scoop I am blessed with a good wife, :cheekkiss: 4 kids, and excellent health. The area I hunt is really nothing special, recreation areas mostly. There just isn't a whole lot of competition, I am the only one with an AT PRO....LOL. I hunt 5-8 hours a day. Its spring break here in Kentucky and I have to watch my 9 year old until the wife gets off work, she retired but they wanted her to come back so she works half days .

I noticed last night where the city school had relocated a bleacher from the baseball field. The wife got me up for a short 1/2 hours hunt prior to her leaving for work......4 quarters, 2 dimes, 9 pennies, one nickel.........and to ice the cake a .925 sterling silver filigree ring, ring number 6 for the year

There are more coins there, will put on the SNIPER coil and search through the pull tabs, just didn't have enought time to mine it out!

The AT PRO is my first detector, so I am new to the forums and to posting, will try a picture of the mornings finds.

Dug 42 quarters Sunday in 3 hours, all clad, most were 4-5" , deep red with a rough feel.

Wow that's amazing. Sounds like to are getting plenty of exercise with your new detector.

I wish I could get my wife into detecting, she loves the gold jewerly, but thinks the coins are 'really dirty', but she encourages me to go so I get back to size 38.

Made three hunts today. Ended up with $13.65 total, two rings, the silver rang up a steady 82, the one in this picture was hitting 71, which seems to hold true on my "junk" jewelry. Two tokens, 1 from the Kentucky Derby Museum Louisville Ky, VID a 77 and one Play Escape also a 77 on the VID.

Two quarters on wheels  (87), and a baseball.

Found two coin spills, one 5 quarter and another one 9 QUARTERS and 1 nickel.

Those Mathbox car seem to always say "quarter" on the meters.
