I took the cord and taped it straight up the shaft leaving a little slack at each end.this is the only way to pull apart the AT PRO without unpluging the coil wire.with it taken apart and the coil shaft slid in it will all fit perfect into the trunk on my harley, now I can ride to the baech to hunt.the best of both worlds.here are some photos.

Good job! What's the length of the longest half? Gotta go check my Goldwing trunk.

Bill the shaft is 24.5 in. the trunk is 23.5 but it fits as you can see.It is at a slight angle.

Hey Rick, If I were you, I WOULD PUT SOME FOAM PADDING around that CONTROL HOUSING!! Just to PROTECT the ELECTRONICS from MAYBE
COMING LOSE, in case you encounter SOME POT-HOLES or SPEED BUMPS!! Just a suggestion, NICE WHEEL!! Les Robinson

ran into some guys in Lee Vining, CA (I was fishing in the Eastern Sierras) who were traveling cross country and were camped next to me. One guy had a custom made trailer (he was a welder) and the others had the trunks like you show in the picture. The only thing they had a problem with is any Coleman lantern that had glass and a wick. Seems the vibration would destroy both. Any problems yet with the vibration that would knock the detector out of whack or is electronics not that sensitive to the shaking on a bike?

Hi guys the H-D does vibrate I will put padding around the whole thing before I would ride any where I just wanted to see if it would fit.

Now your in there, nice job , Im right behind you on my bicycle(or way behind). Nice to C someone going the distance to get out and dtect and show the pictures.

Thanks Rick. I just went out to check the GW trunk(s), and I've got the same trunk size as you (upper trunk), but even more room on the lower one. (yea, it's a trike; we just got it about a month ago)

Nice bike sonny,But you can't ride far on that one you will get num butt and wind whipped fast plus you can't ride your honey!
OH yea Bill you cheated you have a trike I was going to sell my triumph america and buy a wing but the wife said no more toys I said OK.
I AM NOT HENPECKED but a few chicken house ways will go a long way.

Rick,, I still have my bike, and I really like ridin' it, but the warden won't ride on 2 wheels. (she was in a MC accident when she was just a teenager, like a hundred years ago), and said she'd never get back on one again. A friend of ours, who switched to a trike a few years ago, were here back in Aug/Sept, so he & his wife rode my bike, and we took his trike. She liked it, and when I started looking at them (I found 3), I asked her which one she liked best... A week later, we drove out to Ohio and bought it.
