AT Pro first finds pics

I went back to my low beach again yesterday and found a few more things. I spent the day in Pro mode, and I am trying to learn how to use it. The ring with the "amber" stone was found amongst some heavy iron signals. I don't think I would have found it without "the Pro mode. Anyway the first 2 hunts so far have given me 32 coins, $7.95 in face, and 2 junk rings. It was nice to get out, but by the afternoon it started to snow yet again. I really can't wait to get back to doing my farmyards and old sites again...like my 2 year old says "SNOW GO AWAY!".

I am glad you were able to get out and have a little fun and make some nice finds. Getting close in Wisconsin, but not yet. Snow forcast for later today.

I think my bling is the real thing lol! I don't have silver polish at home, so I tried toothpaste. I think it might be silver! The stone has tiny inclusions, and my wife figures it's probably real amber. The AT Pro made me think it was silver before I dug it up, but I assumed it wasn't when I found no markings. Thanks John for telling me to clean it up hehe. What do you guys think?

Not sure about the metal but am quite certain it is real amber. The inclusions look very authentic to me. I did an in-depth report on petrified coniferous sap when studying Geology at Indiana University back in 1968. That sure doesn't maker me an expert but in my opinion it is the real thing. Congratulations on a great find!

Thanks everybody

Gopher John, thanks for the info on the 'petrified coniferous tree sap". I am quite sure it's amber, and silver too, I used some silver polish and it shined up beautifully. My wife likes it...so much in fact that it now resides on her finger!:bouncy:
