At Pro finds using shallow diving shaft

A short 5 minute video of some of my finds made so far this water season using mask, snorkel and my AT Pro set up in the short, shallow water configuration. The video is short but edited so that it is non-stop finds so there is a lot packed into the 5 minutes. Thanks for looking! You can watch the video here:

Makes one wish he could detect in the fast edited version...
So many finds in just 5 minutes...GREAT video.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice vid. Are you sitting while doing this, or kneeling, or what? I have a decent mask, I just need a snorkel.

Great vid and technique. Now, I just need an ocean! :sadwalk:

No I am laid out in swimming position most of the time. At the limit of the depth I can do this occasionally I will take a deep breath and dive down head first to fan the target, but most of the time just swimming position face down with snorkel above the water.

That looks like so much fun as well as being super productive. Nice going.

Nice finds. Wish the river had crystal clear water like that. How deep was your targets? I might just go to the river next week and snorkel around the dock for some eyeball finds. The 14K was a great eyeball find.

Thanks, as far as target depth, the heavier rings get pretty deep. I would say 6-8" or so, up to a foot on that largest ring. It was pretty loose sand so heavy objects sink fairly deep. Now in one area I detect the sand is thin with clay below so nothing gets over 4" or so deep.

Do you use flippers? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm real new to water detecting. And I have the perfect place to it at...large, long beaches, that have probably NEVER had a detector in the water before. I just KNOW there's some goodies waiting around out there.

I meant how deep under water do you snorkel?

No problem man, I just bought some flippers, I think they will help somewhat but I do fine without them. Your place sounds intriguing, look at the Liquid Image video mask and record your hunts. It's fun to watch it again sometimes, I'll be looking forward to it. Thanks

That's great stuff. 😊
