AT PRO finds silver

Coinseeker 78

New member
After only one week of hunting with my new 5X8 coil I manage to find silver. The area I found it in was a local park. This park has been hunted to death and Even I after 2 years of hunting was unable to find silver. Today I went to a new area of the park to hunt and was immediately aware of virtually no signs of clad. But I persevered and got a signal mixed in with iron. I decided to dig and found this dime. The only other thing I dug was what might be a dog whistle. I believe this detector will separate coins and non ferrous items from iron better than about any detector I have used in the past. It is a giant step forward in metal detecting. Good luck hunting.

Congrats on the silver! I agree with you 100% The AT-Pro is excellent at target separation and most of the silvers I pulled so far with it have been near iron or other trash items. I'm definitely thinking about getting the 5x8.

Just the first of many. The deep silver you have to be right over it. That means to overlap your sweeps even more--like three inches, and don't ignore any faint sounds. You might even go back and dig any deep targets in that area no matter what the ID number even no ID number. If it gives a tone, dig. My opinion is good ground balancing finds deep silver.
