AT PRO finds Ring, Part 2!

Hello again everyone! Today I went out again, to the same place where I found: The First RIng

I have found a place I'm sure that hasn't been hit by the detectorists recently. I live in a pretty big town (for MT) and I was starting to think everything had been cleaned out around my town. I was wrong! Today I went there and found this:

I can't get the third image to display on the forum here, but the ring is 14k and is marked on the other side with ".53" It looks like this one is the one that bought me my detector! More to come in the future.

Very nice ring, keep it coming! Hello back, Hank

Congrats on that nice one.

Hello and thank you Hank68, mudpuppy, and Joel-Winnipeg! I'm glad to go back. I will be posting another thread here later tonight. I just got back and found an old pocket knife, a silver hoop earring with stud stones in it, two keys, a thing that looks like a dog tag that says "LuLu" on it, something that looks like an old rusted socket, an old hose clamp, and a 1967 quarter which read up as 90 solid on the TID! For all those that have said that the AT PRO ROCKS, it is true.

I also wanted to mention the TID for the ring above was a solid 47-48. I could tell by the sound that it wasn't a junk object. The ring was about 1 1/2 inches deep. I love the 3D audio (I understand what that means now) on the AT PRO!

Excellent find!! That should keep you motivated for quite a while!! Congrats.

Great recovery...I definitelty think the At Pro earned it's keep...WTG!!!

HH,

Good eye MetalMagnet. I looked at it with a jewler's magnifier. It looks as if the stone itself is scratched in one spot. Also, the facets in the top of the stone are pitted. The only thing I can think is perhaps it was scratched before it went into the ground, or maybe it got whipped by a lawnmower. I haven't taken it in to get it looked at yet. I want to find more stuff before I head to the jeweler's.

Besides the flaws I mentioned, it looks in good shape. The diamond might lose a little weight if I get it polished and cleaned but perhaps it will be worth more? I'm going to wait until I have at least two more rings to go to the jeweler. I want to make it a trip to remember, lol.
