AT Pro Finds Merc and 14k Ring

Hunting a co-workers home from the early 1900's. The merc came in around 60-70 V.D.I, 3'' down. Also found a nail in the same hole. Ring was 2'' down with a solid 52 V.D.I.

Love those nickel signals that turn out to be 14K! Congrats!

I've dug Mercs (and other silver dimes) with VDIs all over the place. There is no single reason I know of. The solution...spend as much time with the machine listening and dig.

Thats a great pair of finds! :beers: nice job on the VDI of 52...a definite "must dig"...lots of pulltabs in that tone though, but thats where the gold hides!

Thanks everyone, i think the nail in the hole was the issue for the V.D.I #. I've dug quite a few mercs and they are always 82.

Those are a couple of great finds.
