I read that story and saw the pics a while back, but never saw the video until now. That is so amazing...watching it made me feel sick to my stomach...in the best way possible!!! :puke:

Thanks for the vid McDave

Heard about it .
Nice to see the actual hunt and finds.
Thanks Dave for posting.

That's sick!!!! I would be having a racing heart and breathing heavy with my head going to explode if I ever found anything like that or We ever found things like that and he seems like it's an every day thing to him LOL LOL LOL.

Fantastic!! find great for him and his buddies he hunts with in the other videos. Hope he had them around to share in the discovery.

Congrats, Tom

That is one slow moving river he is hunting in...I wonder if it is actually a private pond?

HH,

That was a great video and some awesome finds!!! What a dream day or days. My only thought as I watched the video was about the different countries represented and the large amount in one area. Of course my law enforcement side makes me think that this may be the dumping ground of some crook who did not want to get caught with the goodies/spoils of a burglary! I wonder if the finder has ever thought of letting law enforcement look into past burglaries of coin collectors or stores to see if the dates and coins match up. An awesome find though and my congrats to McDave!!

My guess is a coin bag or purse lost many years ago looking at those coins they had been in that river a long time. Think he said 1830's was the oldest that was before the civil war. If this was a modern collection there would for sure have been newer dates.

Never know what you will find in the water. That is the main reason I got the AT pro. The guys that found them hunts civil war stuff and does better than any land hunter I have seen in this day and time. Check out his other videos. With the stuff he found this summer he could buy 100 AT Pros and still have change left over.
