I've commented before about how impressed I am with the air tests on gold with the AT Pro, but this weekend, for me, is a shining example of not only how well the AT Pro does deep gold, but that my air tests were a valid indicator of the detectors potential.
I hit one of my tot lots this last weekend hoping that the better weather might have enticed kids to get out and play. While I didn't find any recent drops I did find 2 that had obviously been missed many times before. My first signal was a solid. but faint, 48 in between several low iron grunts in an area we have hit many many times. I dug down through the 8" of wood chips and in the mud a few inches to pop up a small 14k ring. Not more than 10' away I got another solid, but faint, 43 and dug down again below the 6-7" of wood chips and in the mud to pop up yet another small 14k ring with a stone. Both obviously had been there for some time and had been missed by everything from my DFX and MXT to my E-Trac.Air tests indicated that the AT Pro was capable of extreme depth on gold, and in the field proved true.
The AT Pro is a tot lot monster
