AT Pro Does Another Autumn Water Hunt On A Straight Shaft:detecting::video:

It was one degree this morning when I headed to the lake. Frost on the car too:yikes:. Luckily, there was a moderate northerly wind blowing across the lake keeping ice from forming. A pair of sweats, some insulated gloves, thick socks a jacket, my chest waders under the bright sun kept me warm. Got some jewelry, money, iPad and some old bottle caps. And will probably sleep well tonite.

Below is a short video on the hunt:

How did you like the Anderson shaft? I'm thinking about getting one. Do you prefer the concentric coil to the DD coil? The lake water looked darker than what you usually have on your videos and that's what I run into most of the time. Some places I detect, the water visibility is about a foot.

The straight shaft allows me to detect when my tennis elbow kicks in periodically. I do prefer the concentric coils, as they give more accurate ID compared to DDs, allows me to get a good idea about the depth of a target by how fast the target the target cuts out when using the front inner coil, and is much more accurate for pinpointing.
