It was one degree this morning when I headed to the lake. Frost on the car too. Luckily, there was a moderate northerly wind blowing across the lake keeping ice from forming. A pair of sweats, some insulated gloves, thick socks a jacket, my chest waders under the bright sun kept me warm. Got some jewelry, money, iPad and some old bottle caps. And will probably sleep well tonite.

Actually, In was sweating under my chest waders. Even in the deep water I got little relief. But, nice to get out. I may sneak one more hunt in the water this year.

How long does a pair of chest waders last you, John? Mine only lasted two years and I didn't use them half as much as you probably do and took real good care of them. The people I bought them from gave me a free patch kit, but think I will take them up on the discount offer and buy a new pair.
