AT PRO depth on relics

I need a new relic machine and I am considering the AT PRO. I have good soil here in NC and I am wondering what kind of depth I could expect from the AT PRO on a 3 ringer or a button? I have been using my ACE to relic hunt with for a month and it has surprised me but it just doesn't have the depth. It is a great coin machine and that's what I bought it for, not for relic hunting. I would use the AT PRO strictly for relics but it seems that most people on this forum are using it for coin hunting. Are there any relic hunter using the AT PRO, if so what is your opinion of Garrett's new machine?.........Thanks, Bill in NC

See my post below."DEEP SNOW FINDS" I've been colonial relic hunting in the snow and found a flat button about 4 inches deep with an additional 8 inches of snow on top of that. I also posted awhile ago some finds before the snow. Dug some deep coppers, flat buttons, and Large Cents. It's a pretty good relic hunter, I've haven't had it Civil War hunting yet. I'm a happy customer.

Well i am also ordering AT PRO for relic hunting mostly (my first detector). And as you i was worried about the depth. But i read somewhere that the depth on device 600$ and 1000$ is most of the time sameish but the ones for 1000$ have more functions (ignoring those pulsing and that kind detectors). And yea since i live in Eu older relics are deeper and everyone saying about deep targets at 8 inches just worry me =). Would need at least 20 inches depth (if not for silver and gold, at least for iron and bronze).

Second from the bottom. Feel free to correct that =).

And if you have money i guess F75 special edition is not a weak detector, from reading many reviews.

Weath22, i also live in NC (eastern). I picked up the AT pro around mid December and have really enjoyed using it. I have pulled fired three ringers out of the swamps at 10 inches, with no problem. I also have a small test bed with a 3 ringer at 12 inches that the pro will hit and read between 70 and 72 on the vid. My other detectors haven't left the closet since i bought the Pro.
