I recently acquired a like new, non-modified AT Pro and have a couple of concerns. This detector seems to work very well in my test garden- I'm actually impressed! But in sunlight there is a "rainbow smear" of colors on the inside of the display faceplate. Is this normal? It's not that bad, but is annoying at certain viewing angles.
Next the former owner has yet to find the land headphones for me, but I have a set of Infinium water phones... the same Garrett catalog part number as those for the AT Pro. While the external speaker on the Pro sings loud and clear, as soon as I plug in the water phones, the volume in the phones is very low- I can barely hear responses? Yet the same water phones work great/loud on my Infinium! Does this sound like a detector problem? For those who have the Pro with water phones, how loud is your headphone volume? I'm going to send this Pro in for the factory mods, but wanted to get some opinions on the internal display color smear and water phone volume, so I can reference them as concerns in my letter to Garrett.
I think I'm really going to like the AT Pro. In my hot ground it seems to detect as deep of even a bit deeper than my top-of-the-line machines! That's more than expected. Thanks for any help- SH34.
