I just finished my third hunt with the AT Pro and today was one of my best days in the last ten years. This detector is simply amazing. I am nearly at the point of saying this might be the best detector I have ever used. Again, where I hunt are public fairgrounds and parks and I have been over them from every angle for the last ten years or so. I have used the best detectors and without bragging, I know how to use them and have made many good finds over the years. I am purposely going to the most iron and modern trash infested spots because these are the places the AT shines. Today was no disappointment! The first good signal was a high, tight(small) signal that was mixed with an iron burb in Pro mode. I checked the signal in iron audio and there were two distinct signals. I knew it was going to be a good find because I was at one of the oldest parts of the fairgrounds. I don't use pinpoint as I can sweep slowly and "X" the target. The first coin was a 1900 Barber dime from about 7 inches. I rechecked the hole with the Propointer and found an 1885 Indian head an inch deeper. From the iron audio, I knew there was some rusty iron close by and to verify this I dug the side of the hole out by an inch or so and found a three inch, bent rusty nail. I am blown away with this detector's capabilities! Next, I went over the section where I had been over with every high end detector. I found four Barber coins and a dozen Indian heads in this spot with an Etrac last year. Now for the amazing, I found four more Indians and three wheats in the next hour. Three of the Indians were masked by iron and now to answer the question of raw depth of the AT Pro. One that wasn't masked was 10 inches deep! I was set in Pro mode, 30 iron disc, one bar from max sens. To get the most from this detector you have to listen to the chatter and after figuring out what a deep or masked coin sounds like, you will be one your way. This is one fine detector! R.L. Johnson
