AT Pro Can Easily Sniff The Scent Of :canadaflag: Coins :super:

Spent most of the morning at a park that gets a lot of people throughout the year. Lots of coins to be found and the AT Pro has the ability to sniff them out.

Wow, how long where you there??

And the green ones are neat- are those a trick of the light?

I hunted 4 hours, till the heat was unbearable. Amazing what a cheap green LED ring will do to a pile of cheap, rusted pennies.

Nice finds, John. Know you were tired. I hoped to hit a church campground early this am, but didn't get away from the house until nearly 1 pm and it was 92 degrees. Is that a pearl ear ring amongst the clad?

Here in Utah I run the AT Pro in all metal mode with full iron discrimination most of the time. When I was metal detecting at a lake and park in British Columbia I was using the same setting and wondering why I was only finding nickels and the occasional copper penny. Then I remembered that many recent Canadian coins were made mostly of steel. I backed the iron discrimination down to the low 20s then I started finding steel and nickel composition coins left and right without finding too many nails and iron junk. I also started finding the deeper pre-steel dimes. One of those forehead slapping moments where you go "Duh!"

Way to go with a nice haul, John!

Is this the first time visiting there, or is it a regular spot?
