AT Pro & bottle caps

New member
is there a way to avoid digging those pesky bottle caps on the dry sand saltwater beach with the AT Pro ??

thanks,

Good news and bad news; first the good news. There is a way to keep from digging those pesky bottle caps. The bad news; you're going to have to dig a lot of them first to learn what they sound like so that you don't have to dig'm! I've only got about 30 hours on my AT Pro but so far have learned what a few things sound like. I'm still working on bottle caps but am convinced that after awhile, I'll know what they are and have the confidence to not dig. Dig?
Good luck! LOL

[size=large]it can't hurt to try this. hunt in std, zero 40 disc. six or seven bars sen. when you hit a high sound, especially a qtr. switch to pro, zero and see if it breaks up. if you still have a repeatable sound then just dig it. just try and see if it helps.

I agree with Togamac .... you need to dig a lot at first to build up your confidence. You will be surprised how fast you will learn to tell them apart from good junk.
But some will fool you anyway, but I sure dig a lot less then I use to.

Here is something that I am doing. I have a plot in my yard where I am burring every kind of garbage that I can find. I am now able to learn what junk really sounds like. Once you play with this for a while, the good targets will jump out at you.
