At Pro becoming addictive to me

On my first two hunts I took my At Pro and my Ace 350. I split each hunt between the two. But I didn't like the Idea of someone breaking into my truck and swiping one of my machines while I was off somewhere hunting with the other one. so I now I switch every other hunt. I have been using the At Pro more and more. for instance, today I did a 4 hour hunt with the At Pro and on the way home I thought I really gotta take the Ace out for another hunt. But I got home and got on the At Pro forum and after reading a few posts I am all fired up and ready to take the At Pro out again. I am very slowly (very very slowly) starting to understand a little of all the chatter in pro mode. The first couple of hunts I would start out in pro mode and be determined to stay in pro mode. But after awhile I would get over whelmed and go to std mode. ( I know this is because I started out my detecting career with the Ace 250 and didn't have to deal with so much info). Today I stayed in pro mode. I know I am missing alot of the deeper targets just because I am not understanding what the At Pro is telling me.I think I'll hear a good target among all the other noise but I can't seem to zero in on it. A good example is today's hunt. A buddy of mine wanted to try detecting so we hunted his side yard. he used my Ace 350 and I of course used my At Pro. His house was built in 1920. I was in pro mode coin setting iron disc 39. sens at 2 off max auto ground balance 87. I found 19 clad coins,7 wheat's,a spoon, a play money coin, and 2 keys. every thing I dug was under 5 inches, well the spoon was close to 8 but because of its size it had a loud clear tone 57-59 tid. I know the At Pro was tryin to show me deeper targets but I just wasn't able to grasp the info. some times I thought I heard a good deep signal but I couldn't seem to Isolate it and I would get frustrated. finally towards the end of the hunt I got a feint signal and slowed down my swing speed and slowly shortened my swing and was able to zero in on the sound it was steady 75 tid. I dug between 7 and 8 inches and found some sort of brass or copper doodad. I know some of you guys reading this are freakin a little knowing that there has to be silver hear some where. My buddy did find a 1953 dime he also found a few clad and two wheat's. I estimated the hole he dug for the dime to be about 6 inches. his wheat's were '41' '53'. mine were '18' two '20' '40' two '41' '47S' In the morning I'll be takin the At Pro out again. At least the ace350 got a little exercise today
sorry to ramble on so long.

Don't feel alone the at pro likes to talk we just have to train ourselves to listen. Very ,very slow process for me. I am having same problems seems i dig more junk and miss the coins but i will get there. If nothing else im getting all the junk out for some else and having fun doing it.

There is a 12 step method to help..................go out detecting 12 times.............you won't be cured----- but you will learn a little more about the AT Pro...........
