AT pro battery life?

Hi haven't posted in a while. But how low of voltage will the AT work properly? When do you change the battery's.
When my batteries start get lot the AT seems to become erratic>
Thanks Jim

I change mine pretty quickly after getting down to one bar. Maybe its just me, but I sense a change in performance when that last bar begins to get jumpy. HH jim tn

One bar, if you go longer the machine starts flaking out. Very erratic. Forgot to change one time and found out

I use rechargables so when it hits the one bar out they come and the new ones go in

I ran mine at one bar for while to see what happens. No question at one bar the volume is lower. As I recall the machine actually runs slower, too.

I think Garrett recommends changing batteries when the meter hits one bar. I run Eneloop rechargeables, so I go ahead and change them out when they've been on two bars for a few hours. I agree that the ATs seem a little friskier with fresh batteries, the signals are definitely crisper and less thinking is required when deciding whether or not to dig... :goodnight:

Yep, same here, one bar or two...I dont know if this helps extend the life of them, I never use the Pinpoint button and run iron audio off...not that increasing battery life is what we need to be thinking about when we are out hunting gold and stuff, but still...I also have a different mfg detector that uses AA's, so when the Pro says its done with them, I put them in the other unit and get a lot more hunting out of them...like over 10 more hours, when they are dead on this machine, they are really dead..

Always change the bateterias when the machine indicates a line but I do it in the same place where I am in the field at home, in the car but never had I happened to go to a bar, it sure is more fun :buds:
:rofl::rofl:

Bravo Senda!:rofl: Yes over here we must go into at least one bar :beers: when its time to change the batterys! Sometimes at two bars for the thirsty and unrepentant hunters that do not like to be caught dry in the field!:buds:

You say in Europe you change them when they indicate a certain line, does that mean you go to the zoo for a battery change? How do you know which lion cage to change batterys at? is this where disc is used? Thanks for the big laugh!:rofl::heh:

Mud thank you for laughter, I always try to make people laugh with my nonsense (I'm a little clown) but I translate the humor, the jokes and puns is always complicated. This was good.
