AT Pro at the Beach?

On Garrett's literature, they have a grid showing which detectors are good for which types of hunting, i.e. fresh water beach, coins, surf, etc.

I notice that the AT Pro does not have a "tic" mark in the box for surf, but the GTI detectors do.

Is there something about the AT Pro that makes it unsuitable for surf hunting?
